Author The Races Came Off: The Story of Point-to-Point Racing in South & West Wales 1887-1985, Welsh Steeplechase Jockeys published 1993, PRO for Wales Point-to-Point Association, The Welsh Grand National From Deerstalker to Supreme Glory (Tempus Sep 2002), The great Welsh Sprint: The story of the Welsh Powderhall Handicap (Gwyn Thomas 1999) plus fifteen local history books about hometown Cardiff, published by Tempus and Breedon books. Author of Cardiff's Vanished Docklands (Sutton 2006). Contributer to book on famous Cardiff Sportsmen published by Tempus 2007. Have reviewed many racing books for the Welsh Press. As a young lad worked on the defunct Ely Cardiff Racecourse, which had closed in 1939, marking out football pitches! Banned from two Welsh Point-to Point meetings (turned up anyway) and reported to the Jockey Club on several occasions
